Mom left the door cracked open a bit when she left and came home to find a random cat snuggling up to dad

One of the most heartwarming stories I’ve read in a long time comes from a Twitter post by Andrew Falloon. The account lists Andrew as living in Timaru District, New Zealand where he is a Member of Parliament.

Apparently Andrew’s father recently had surgery and was at home resting when Andrew’s mother went to market for a few things. She left the door cracked open a bit when she left and came home to find they had a random cat snuggling up to dad.

The funny thing is they don’t own a cat. Or they didn’t own a cat. Whichever way you choose to look at it. The photo has been viewed over 16 million times so far.

Andrew stated in his Twitter post

“I’m just happy Dad’s on the mend, ” Andrew told Mashable.com he’s just glad the photo is making people smile and that his dad has a guardian cat to help him heal.

Twitter user Metta Bhavana@MettaBhavana1 had me LMAO with her comment to Andrews Twitter post:

“You have the right to be comforted by a cat. If you do not have a cat, one will be provided for you, mysteriously and out of the blue, at no charge.”

It would be nice for the cat to need a home beause he’s obviously chosen his forever person. I read the cat now has an Instagram account but haven’t been able to find it.

If anyone spots the ‘kitty nurse’ on social media, please feel free to add the link in the comment section below. Be sure to read the entire Twitter post on Mashable where people are telling their own stories about how their cat joined the family.

As I’ve stated many times, we don’t choose the cat. The cat chooses us.
