Yes, I can see resistance to this suggestion from many cat owners but I for one would comply with any law which made it mandatory to put a wide, brightly coloured collar on my cat because I think it is time to do something about the persistent battle between cat lovers and bird lovers. In addition such an idea would help to reduce the number of cat hating individuals who sometimes hurt cats. If you like cats you do not want these sorts of people in the community endangering their cats.
