Vincent and Tori need you! Come on cat lovers, this is chance of a lifetime to do something really good for cats and yourself. You’ll for ever reap the reward. You’ll receive adulation and bit of fame as well if that would please you.
Vincent is a declawed cat who because of the declaw operation become very defensively aggressive. He has a buddy, Tori. They are both at a rescue center in New Orleans, USA. Vincent now needs a human buddy with a big heart. This is a great start: no adoption fee and free transport. You won’t get a better offer.
You can read about Vincent on this page (link opens a new webpage). Please read about Vincent first. They say Vincent is untouchable. I say this is your chance to prove everyone wrong and how superb you are as a cat caretaker.
PoC will chronicle your adoption of Vincent and Tori – if you would like that. If not, we’ll keep silent.
Here is the comment from Jo Singer on Vincent’s page that made me write this post:
There’s some possible great MEWS for Vincent and hopefully his new buddy- but only if there is someone who is committed to take Vincent and hopefully his buddy, Tori. Since the shelter will waive adoption fees if both go to their permanent loving home together, the cost of the adoption will not be an issue.
This said, if someone lives within a 300 mile radius from New Orleans, and is able to make a committment to definitely take these kitties, there is a strong possibility for free transport from New Orleans to your location.
So if anyone can open their heart and home for these two cats, please post a response to this post. Ruth and I will keep checking and we can go on from there. What a blessing this would be for these cats. Thank you so much!

I wish I could take them. If somebody arranged the whole thing of getting them here in the nicest way possible I would take them.
We all hope so. I do sense a shift in opinion on declawing. There are ten times the number of websites since PoC started 6.5 years ago and lots more chatter about the problems and what declawing really is. A lot of people still don’t realise. The internet could be the force for change. Although Facebook is killing PoC, it does good on changing opinions on declawing.
My heart goes out to him, poor dear. I feel for him. This hopefully will turn out to be publicized heavily in favor of no declaw. (?)
I swear anyone of the PoCers would turn him around. I know I could. Pure patience and pile of gentle loving. He so needs some TLC.
Wish I lived closer. Id take him in a heartbeat.
Untouchable? NOT!!!
I’ve seen his look before. He’s so afraid.
The right human can turn him around.
I hope someone takes on the challenge.
