Noel Gallagher’s household in chaos over a cat allergy

Noel Gallagher, the 53-year-old former oasis star, lives with his wife Sara and his sons Donovan, 13, and Sonny, 10. He has homes in Hampshire and in London. They have a family cat. He also has a 21-year-old daughter, Anais, from his past marriage to Meg Matthews but she doesn’t live with him currently.

So there are four people in his household and two of them are allergic to the family cat. He gives the impression that it has created a bit of chaos in a podcast called Funny How? He does say that he is fond of the cat but he appears to be ambivalent about it because he also said that: “I’m not passionate about pets, they are a pain in the arse.”

He’s not allergic to the cat who lives in the London home. So when they are away from that home the two who are allergic stop sneezing and sniffling but as soon as they return their symptoms start up again. He’s asked whether they should continue to keep their cat. His suggestion is constantly rejected apparently out of hand.

Although he has a hard man image is a bit of a softy when it comes to the cat. He said: “I do love the cat. Our cat is cool, it’s like a dog, is not in any way weird, it would come and sit on your lap and all that. But if I was allergic to it, f*** that.”

Comment: as I said he appears to be ambivalent about it. I sense that he actually likes the cat but doesn’t like the disruption that the cat allergy has caused the household. I can understand that because it’s a bit like living with people in a household who constantly have a cold; not great. Obviously the two who are allergic to the cat are very fond of cats otherwise they wouldn’t put up with their allergy.

There are ways around it and there’s a cat food out which can help to neutralise the allergen in domestic cats. I hope Noel Gallagher reads this article. If he does he should click on this link to read about this cat food. It may remove the chaos in his home caused by that dreaded allergen called, by scientists, Fel d1.

I am a little troubled by his attitude, but God bless him for caring for the cat. I don’t have allergies, but I withstand a couple fairly bad inconveniences because I love my cats, and they deserve it just for being.
