Max loves to nap
Our beautiful 9-year-old cat, Max, came from a litter of two female Torties and one other male black and white who appears to be a domestic shorthair.
The father was an enormous orange tom cat and the mother is a small black domestic shorthair with a few white hairs in the middle of her chest.
The mother, Mao Mao, had been dumped in our neighborhood by students from a nearby college during a school vacation. Once Mao Mao had her kittens, we adopted her and the family who include Macau, Kowloon, Max and Buster.
From looking at your pictures and reading the description, I think our Max must be part Norwegian Forest Cat. He is a tremendous jumper and loves to hang around on top of the refrigerator and hang his legs down like a lion.
He also has a remarkable coat and gorgeous features. He is shy around strangers but devoted to us and to his siblings.
He weighs about 14 pounds and excels at napping. He and his brother Buster have similar coloring but their coats and builds are completely different as you can see from the pictures.
When he was a kitten and began to grow, Max's coat just got more and more dense and his tail seemed to explode. He's truly a remarkable boy!
