This impressive owl has made itself look much larger and it rocks from side to side as a means to display body language at a gray tabby-and-white cat who was probably wandering around his backyard or somewhere nearby when he encountered the owl. It is a cute stand-off between two different species, both predators. I think the video originally comes from Viral Hog. I’ve never seen this sort of body language from an owl before. Perhaps it is interesting in one way because the owl could simply fly away but it tries to frighten the cat instead. Perhaps it is defending something such as its chicks. The cat in response has taken up a sideway stance to make himself larger as well. And you can see the tail bhas thickened and the back arched. This is a classic attempt to make himself look larger which is exactly the same objective as the owl.
