For obvious reasons I will keep this short, perhaps very short. In my honest opinion, Pets Radar is a shameful website churning out ridiculous, clickbait articles about cats which are often frankly stupid or at least silly and sometimes plainly misleading. Their authors try to create clickbait and they don’t mind how they do it. But they really do churn out a lot of pure rubbish from time to time. Perhaps all the time! No, that’s being too harsh. Some of it is okay but really there’s too much rubbish.

This is such an example. They’ve churned out a slideshow entitled “30 foods that cats should never eat”. And third on the list is coffee and tea! Which you can’t eat because it is a bloody liquid! Really the Pets Radar authors are idiots. They say that cats should avoid drinking coffee and tea because if they do, they might vomit and have heart palpitations!
Tell me, has your cat ever shown any interest in drinking coffee or tea? At the very best they might be curious about the smell. But highly unlikely. I’ve lived with cats for 30 or more years and all the cats I’ve lived with have never ever shown even the slightest interest in drinking coffee or tea for obvious reasons. It has nothing to do with a cat diet. There’s nothing attractive in it vis-à-vis a domestic cat. It is not on their radar (nice pun 😃😱)
And anyway, it’s hot so is completely inappropriate for a domestic cat. They don’t go near it. There is simply no chance they will go near it. You don’t have to state it as if it’s some wise piece of information which cat owners should diligently observe. You don’t need to consider in any shape or form your cat drinking your tea or coffee. It’s just not going to happen because there’s nothing attractive in it for a domestic cat.
The point is that Pets Radar is a clickbait pet website; churning out pure rubbish a lot of the time with idiotic articles like the one I’ve mentioned which in this case is presented in a slideshow.
The Internet can do without it. There’s enough problems on the Internet as it is with AI taking away masses amounts of traffic from websites, good websites that deserve traffic. There’s enough trouble as it is with the search engines like Google destroying hundreds of thousands of websites with their AI-driven search engine which these days is, I think, completely hopeless. Almost everything that Google lists in search results is irrelevant or slightly relevant. Sometimes there is a relevant article in there somewhere but you’ve got to find it.
The best search engine is Bing at the moment which turns out relevant search results and I would recommend it. But it seems to me that Google is going through an existential crisis of some sort in their efforts to shrink the Internet or introduce AI into their search engine which at the moment is catastrophic in my honest opinion. And I think my opinion is good because I’ve been watching the internet for 17 long years. I’ve been using Google for a long time. And I’ve seen it deteriorate rapidly this year. I try and avoid it nowadays and use Bing instead.
A final comment about Pets Radar. I think is a reflection on the modern internet which has deteriorated thanks to Google and thanks to websites like Pets Radar which simply survives on clickbait and in misleading internet users. For me, it’s shameful. Google should never find it in a search result. But it does. Surprised? 🤣😉
More: Pets Radar is an Internet menace
P.S. Yes, I know that it is unusual for one website to attack another but this is an exception. It is time these half-baked sites are shut down. The internet is deteriorating. Social media does not help either. Far too much pap. Useless chatter achieving nothing.
Thanks for this and agreed.
