Picture of Brooklyn rescue cat sums up his attributes but adopt by Nov 9

“UNITED MUST BE SAVED BY 12 PM NY TIME NOV 9”

Hello, my name is United. My animal id is #80617. I am a desexed male gray tabby cat at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 14 years old.

“Abandoned by the donation bin in the lobby of the ACC in Brooklyn.”

“BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:: United Is a sweet and affectionate tabby boy who appreciates attention and allows all petting! He was standing in the center of his kennel as the assessor approached, ears forward and face relaxed. He arches his back when spoken to and steps forward to greet the assessor with a raised tail as the kennel door opens. United chirps and allows petting while leaning in, raising his tail and purring. United allows the assessor to lift him from his kennel with a tense body and legs.

United interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.”

I like the presentation and the cat. He is an old cat and it’s not been easy. One reason is that he has had to live with declawing. I don’t know what the ‘FU’ means in “NEEDS MED FU”. I think it would be great if someone good look after him in a loving way for the last years or months of his life.

I am reminded of a lady who adopted the most unadoptable cats at a shelter. She’s the sort of person who deserves recognition and an award not the people who normally get them.
