This picture got a lot of interest at the time. It was taken early on during the coronavirus pandemic. It was taken in China as far as I’m aware. It looks quite cute but putting a mask on a cat is not a good idea because it will cause the cat distress and in any event the cat will do their best to remove it. This may cause the cat to scratch themselves. They may have breathing problems and become distressed because of that. Further, the wearing of masks is designed to protect others not the wearer. The person who put the mask on her cat thought that the mask protected her cat. She was wrong. She misunderstood how the disease is transmitted between people.
