This is a captivating cat picture. The photo exudes warmth, innocent wonderment and relaxed contentment.
I am revisiting this story which went viral almost a year ago. The boy, Easton, was given the choice of adopting a cat or a puppy. He chose a big (overweight) ten-year-old cat at Exploits Valley SPCA Adoptables. He saw the cat, who they named Tiny, on the rescue’s Facebook page.
Tiny had just lost his home. On the journey back from the rescue centre Easton was in the back of the car with Tiny in a carrier. I’ll guess, Easton, with his mom’s permission, let Tiny out of the carrier which lead to the gorgeous photograph that you see on this page.
The boy’s expression is full of joy and wonderment. He feels the love. Tiny’s face is a picture of relaxed contentment. He feels the love too. He’s going home. He’s lucky and so it Easton because he made a great choice.
There is an added joy in adopting a rescue cat over a purebred from a breeder. The adopter is adding to the health and welfare of cats generally.
