Picture of Tabby Cat Rescued after Arkansas and Oklahoma Tornadoes April 2014
This is a nice photograph of a sweet tabby cat in the arms of a woman who rescued her in Oklahoma following the tornadoes which cut a swath of destruction to parts of the center of America including areas in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

It is in fact a screenshot from a video on one of the BBC websites. I like it because there is tenderness in the eyes of a woman, apprehension in the eyes of the cat and total destruction behind them both.
I believe this cat does not live with the woman in the photograph. I understand that she found her and you can see that the cat has a collar so I would hope she will be reunited with her guardian and caretaker. The picture was taken somewhere in Oklahoma. I think the tornadoes travelled just south of Oklahoma City, diagonally from south-west to north-east.
When the baggage of possessions is stripped away people see clearly what is important to them: family and health and the family includes the companion animal. And in a strange way disaster and catastrophe brings people together and in doing so makes them happier.
