Pictures of President & Dr. Biden’s new cat companion, Willow, at the White House

Here are pictures of the Biden’s new cat companion by Erin Scott/The White House. She is a two-year-old tabby cat with green eyes. She is a farm cat from Pennsylvania. Dr. Jill Biden tweeted about her. Her name is Willow. Michael LaRosa, the first lady’s spokesman said: “Willow is settling into the White House with her favourite toys, treats and plenty of room to smell and explore critters.”

Note: This is an embedded tweet. Sometimes they are deleted at source which stops them working on this site. If that has happened, I apologise but I have no control over it.

Willow’s arrival was delayed. Last month the Bidens said that she would arrive this month. They named the cat after the town of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

Willow made an impact on Mrs Biden after jumping on stage and interrupting her remarks during a 2020 campaign stop in Pennsylvania, said Michael LaRosa. There was an instant bond and the owner of the farm knew that Willow belonged to Dr. Jill Biden.

The last time that the White House had a resident feline was when India lived with President George W Bush. More to follow hopefully, soon.

Update: She has a female feline face 😊. I think it is possible to tell the difference between female and male. These are nice photographs. I hope Erin does not mind me publishing them here. It is great to have a cat back at the White House.
