Pookie: Senior cat surrendered to NC shelter is still looking for an ‘only pet’ home
This is the third article I’ve written on Pookie. To bring you up to date please check out the first two posts to PoC. The first was November 6 where Pookie was needing immediate rescue followed by one on November 8. (links can be found below.

Pookie needs a forever home
Pookie is currently safe in foster care but is considered an urgent need because he’s not living the best life possible. He was surrendered to the shelter due to ‘allergies’ and said to be 23 years old. Pookie is actually only 12 and has several good years left if a responsible adopter can be found.

Pookie is under the care of TARA rescue in Raeford, NC and is out of the shelter and in foster care. What he needs now is an adopter where he can thrive even more. TARA posted on their Facebook page
Meet Pookie
12 years young and dumped at the shelter due to “allergies”.
He’s a big boy and would do best in a quiet home with no other pets so he can be the “King”.
He’s in foster care now and is thriving on Tuna and Love.
Please contact us if you can make Pookie a forever member of your family.
Please contact TARA at (910) 875-5791 if you can offer this big boy a home.
