I have had Simba since he was 9 weeks old and now with the circumstances of the economy I can no longer care for him.

He is appox 5 years old, declawed in front and neutered. He loves to sit in your lap.

He is good with dogs but not so much with other cats. He is not current with his shots.

He is such a good cat, a real purring kitty, really affectionate. Would really love to find him a good home so I don't have to put him to sleep.

Please call 219-689-8151 My name is Cheryl Armstrong

Thank you so much.

Hi Cheryl.... Thanks for visiting. I am sorry to hear that you feel a need to relinquish your cat because of economic circumstances.

I also certainly hope that you do not consider having him killed just because you wish him to go to a new home. I am sure someone will come forward. Have you advertised on the big websites too? I would have thought Petfinder would be able to help for example.

If not wouldn't a rescue center be able to re-home him? For me the best solution is to do a budget and figure out what you can shave back on to allow yourself to keep him. Maybe I am dreaming but I would have hoped that a bit of juggling with the finances and prudent budgeting would allow you to keep him. My personal rule is that cats are for life and only under the most extreme of conditions (personally health issues) should that rule be broken.

Anyway, we all have our own ideas and views so I respect yours - except for the declawing...! I hope you didn't do it - we hate declawing on this site.

Good Luck.

Regardless of the economy, it's a good thing you're rehoming him. He deserves a home where people will love him instead of mutilating him by having him declawed. You're not fit to have a cat. No one who declaws is... You're an ignorant idiot.

So Cheryl, you have had Simba for five years, he is sweet and loves to purr, but now he needs a new home, or you will have to put him to sleep???
Please understand you will not be putting him to sleep, you will be putting him to death.
Surely you have some feelings for this cat that you have shared five years with.
Hopefully you will take the time and make the effort to do the right thing, and find him a home with someone who will love him.
