This is an excellent photographic portrait of a rescue cat taken by the well-known cat photographer Helmi Flick. I wanted to publish it on this website because it highlights the beauty of rescue cats. They can be as attractive as purebred cats. This particular cat whose shortened name is Firefly was a very good model which means she was cooperative. The photograph was taken at a cat show in Wichita, Kansas. Helmi travels around America setting up a studio at cat shows to take photographs of the show cats. Non-pedigree cats can be shown at cat shows and they have their own category. This particular cat was in the category: Household Pet Kitten. Firefly has a very interesting coat. She is a tabby cat but the coat appears to be ticked except of course on the tail and faintly on her face where you can see the tabby pattern.
