The rescue cat, Hercules, with the face of heartbreak as a Elisa described it, has been adopted. His scheduled last day at the Rowan County Animal Shelter by which it is meant the day that he was scheduled to be euthanized if he was not adopted, was 4th May. Hercules was adopted, as I understand it, on May 2nd. I was notified by Kit Curtin in comments on this website on May 2nd at 11:02 PM (I believe that this is US time).
The expression on Hercules’s face touched many hearts. It would have been a strange world, a heartless world if he had not been adopted. I’m told that a woman from Maryland has been approved for adoption. Her name is Lisa. Others had shown interest. Lisa was the first to show interest.
Kit posted some photographs on the page written by Elisa describing them as “Freedom Ride”. Am I correct to presume that these are photographs of Hercules being taken to his new home in a cat carrier?
I’d love to see a photo of Hercules at his new home with a smile on his face. Bring it on.
So glad to know this cat has been adopted. I too, would love to see some pictures after he’s been in his new home for awhile.
Michael, thanks for posting about these kitties that need homes.
I’d love to see this boy clean and happy. No marks on his face and his fur fluffed up and a relaxed expression.
Has he gotten to his furever home? If so, how is he adjusting?
We don’t have news of how he is at present, Susan. I’ll ask Elisa to see if we can get an update. I want to see him at his new home smiling!
