Revocation of Kristen Lindsey’s veterinary license may take up to three years, if at all

The response to a request for the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners to revoke the license of Kristen Lindsey, DVM, whose gruesome photo of Lindsey holding a fatally injured cat named Tiger went viral, has been published and the letter is reproduced below:

We can see that this is a standard letter. This is what we would expect. The timetable is very flexible but I’d expect that in this instance it will be on the longer end of the scale because after three years people will definitely have forgotten this prominent internet story. This is what the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners (“Texas Board”) obviously desire because the Kristen Lindsey saga has damaged the reputation of the veterinary profession and called into question the selection procedure of student vets.

Elisa Black-Taylor writing for Examiner.com writes that there has been some media hype over a possible emergency meeting of the Texas Board. Pay no attention to it she recommends and quite right to.

Concerned people can correspond with the Texas Board by email at:

  1. I apologize 4 the typos. It’s after 4am here but bi was so angry and updates couldn’t fall asleep but rather than starting a petition I’ve started an email campaign with Al my friend’s and have asked them 2 sign the petition and inform threirbfriends. I am calling an Eye Witness reporter 2morrow. This monster has 2 b stopped now! This is how serial killers are born

  2. This woman is deranged sociopath. Stop hiding behind politics. Anyone at another hospital that gives her a job should be shot and since you’re all armed 2 the teeth bin Texas that should be visiting easy. The entire nation is watching you. Convene an emergency meeting of the Board and revoke her license
