Helmi says that this fine picture of the Selkirk Rex cat made the cover of the November 2004 Cats and Kittens magazine. Helmi says that you can see the “Brit” in Billy’s round face, round whisker pads and round eyes. This is a reference to the British Shorthair cat in her, a cat with which the Selkirk was outcrossed in the breed’s development.
Billy is a show cat (he looks it) and a great example of this breed of cat. Helmi has picked up the gorgeous tonality of the curls, almost shimmering. They look luxurious.
