Sheridan’s cats are her world. She won’t go into hospice until the trio is adopted together.
These three cats are caught up in the need for a new forever home. They’re in Santa Barbara, California and their owner is dying of cancer.

Sheridan and her cats
Sheridan has fought a good fight against cancer but she is terminal. Her cats Lily, Oliver, and Divino are her world and she refuses to go into hospice until she finds a new home where the trio can be adopted together.
Christine Brown with Animals In Need Rescue Network is spreading the word on social media. Susan Leroy is the contact and can be reached at susanleroy7@gmail.com. The Facebook thread with updates and more information can be found here.
Divino, Oliver, and Lily have had a safe home with toys, treats, and soft warm beds. They’re looking for a quiet home where they can all stay together. They’re gentle, playful and although a bit shy, they warm up quickly and love to cuddle.
As for their personalities, Sheridan brought Divino from Brazil. Oliver likes to do tricks for treats and to play fetch. Lily loves to play and to be cuddled.

Please don’t let distance stand in your way. If someone is truly a good match for these cats, there are transports out there who can get the cats from Santa Barbara to wherever they need to go.
In my writing, I’ve covered cats in North Carolina transported to the west coast and I’ve covered cats from the west coast transported to South Carolina. Rescues in the south have cats transferred to Northeastern rescues. Transporters are superheroes. Their relay system of handing off cats at precise times is nothing short of a miracle.
Someone out there reading this article is either the perfect match for these kitties or knows someone who is. We just have to find that person and make it happen.
