This is a wonderful example of the Siberian Cat. This particular individual is a female. She is a champion with the World Cat Federation. She is a black marble bicolour and her birthday is 25 March 2020. I don’t think I have seen a better looking Siberian cat which is right because this cat comes from Russia and the Russians do have some wonderful cat breeders.

The Siberian is a large, strong and thick-coated domestic cat. The cat is native to Russia and is an ancient breed that goes back perhaps thousands of years in that part of Russia. Of course, they were not formally a cat breed until quite recently. It is said that they resided in Russian Monasteries and that monks cared for and treated them as beloved pets. They were first imported into the United States on June 28, 1990.

Perhaps it is fair to say that there is quite a big overlap between the Siberian cat, the Maine Coon and the Norwegian Forest Cat.
