This cat doesn’t believe in subtle body language signals. He just grabs that hand that feeds him and he happens to love ice cream. It looks like chocolate ice cream. He has a sweet tooth. God, first the kids have a sweet tooth and their teeth go rotten, now cats are becoming addicted to sweet foods. Cats can’t taste sweetness. Perhaps he just likes the cream part of the ice cream. In fact I am sure that is why he likes it. It is the fat content in the copious amounts of cream.

That is cute, except for the dangers of chocolate. My cat isn’t overly impressed with people food except peanuts, almonds, raisins, and milk. He likes his dry food and treats and canned food as treats.
🙂 He likes some interesting human foods. I agree ice cream can be a bit dangerous.

Please research the dangers/negative effects of nuts, milk, and (god forbid) raisins.
Samirah will give me this direct, unblinking stare if she wants to examine either ice cream or chicken I’m eating. I give her vanilla (I don’t eat chocolate) about less than a thumbnail. She’ll readily eat the chicken in her treat bowl, but sometimes she will not eat the ice cream. She’ll sniff it, look up at me as if to say “Okay, that’s what that is. No thanks!” and then walk off.
Chocolate will kill dogs and cats.
I have given cats, and my former dogs, bits of ice cream, but only vanilla.
