Special needs companion animals. More work and more appreciation. — 2 Comments

  1. I love the scratch and dent shelter cats. One of mine is an 11 year old Himalayan that I adopted last year when she was 10. When I adopted her she was declawed, one tooth, an undershot jaw and had 14 pages of medical records of things the shelter had to do to help save her.

A few months after I adopted her it was found that an eye had to be removed.

So now she’s my one-eyed one tooth grumpy faced kitty. She’s super sweet and gets around just fine with a couple sets of steps I purchased for her.

  2. So much truth in your article, Michael. I have teary eyes. Special needs animals bring more to our hearts and lives than we can ever give to them in return. 😢😔
