These stray cat photographic portraits from Lithuania allow us to glimpse into the souls of these cats. They are that good. I realise that I am being a bit melodramatic and philosophical but I really do believe that these are cat “portraits” rather than straight cat photos. A good portrait of a person should say something about the character of the person and what he/she is. Judging by these photos the same can be said about cats and other animals.
The photos also remind us of the obvious: that stray cats live a harder life than pampered domestic cats in nice homes. You can see this on their faces. And I don’t believe that I am anthropomorphizing the cats.
The photographer is Gabriel Khiterer. He is a young man of 19 years-of-age and he has talent. Well done Gabriel. My cat has the same name!
This is a selection of the photos which have been well received on the internet and rightly so. He took them near his home.
