You may have heard of him; his name is Mister Bruce Willis. I’m told that he spent six years as an unloved, lonely stray cat on the streets during which he acquired significant health issues which is unsurprising bearing in mind the life he was forced to lead. His health problems included an eye injury, a feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) infection and chipped teeth. He has scars around his eyes which helped to make him look sad.
Yes, his appearance and experiences made him look incredibly sad but his character was amazingly sweet. The people at the Animal Humane Society Minnesota said that he was “the sweetest and most affectionate boy around”. Despite that he wasn’t able to find a forever home.
Then lucky for Mister Bruce Willis a kind person came along and her name is Sandra. She fell in love with him. She saw a poster of him on International Cat Day. She visited his shelter and wanted to provide him with a forever home. Unfortunately, she lives in an apartment and the lease didn’t allow it. She promised herself that she wouldn’t get too attached to Bruce Willis.
Meanwhile she continued visiting him at the shelter hoping that somebody else will find him adorable and provide a forever home for him. A month passed by with no takers so Sandra asked her landlord to make an exception for her to allow her to take him home. He gave way and agreed. Good for him.
She was very surprised but no doubt delighted. The next day she brought him home she said:
I brought him home the following day. He went from being the saddest cat to the happiest cat I’ve seen in only a couple of hours. He purred all night long and wouldn’t leave my side.
He is all over the Internet by the way and I’m sure that he has delighted millions of people because he has gone from the saddest to the happiest cat and the photographic collage on this page tells you that this is no exaggeration.
He is still suffering from some health problems so he’s quite frail. He is also FIV positive but this disease is not the end of the road for a domestic cat. It can be dealt with with plenty of tender loving care which is exactly what Sandra is giving to him. She has her award: a handsome and happy male cat who loves her in return. He has a good life ahead and he deserves it.
