Intro: this is a story I received by email written by an anonymous person:
My mother’s friend adopted this lovely dog after he was abandoned by a previous family. His name is Shaun. Shaun had always been very good at eating all his food. One day, however, he started leaving a little bit behind. No matter how strongly he was urged to finish it, he wouldn’t eat everything and always left a small quantity behind.
Yet every morning, when my mother’s friend checked Shaun’s bowl, the food was gone, which was strange, since Shaun always spent the night by her side.
One night she decided to investigate the food situation. She waited quietly by the food bowl and noticed that in the middle of the night, a pregnant cat came in through the window and ate the remaining food. The woman then realized that Shaun had been leaving the food for the stray, mother cat.
A week or so later, the cat stayed in the house after her meal and gave birth to six kittens. My mother’s friend adopted the cats, and Shaun took care of those babies as though they were his own, at least until they all found loving homes. Nowadays, Shaun and his feline friend (her name is Meow) live happily together as a couple, and they each receive their own bowls of food.
P.S. I know, as you do, that cats should not eat dog food! But what the heck, it’s a great story and I am sure she eats the best cat food now that she has a home.

Now it works. Hmmm.
This is a sweet story. My mom’s dog always looked out for her cats.

Great story, Michael. This is more proof of my belief that animals possess the ability to integrate thoughts, feelings, and emotions. 💜💜🐾☮️☯️🗝️
Yes, they do, Frances. They have more abilities that many people think. It is just dawning on people.
