Cat advocates are sharing Joey, who’s described as a ‘talker’ with the hope someone will step up to give this sweet boy a temporary foster home or a forever home. Please share him with the hope a rescue will step up to take Joey or a family will fall in love with him and want to keep him forever.

Facebook tells his story in this heartbreaking post

“Affectionately named Joey, this very friendly, handsome young fella was dumped by his owner. A compassionate woman had been feeding him, but could not take him into her home.

Joey came back injured one day, she had been attempting to treat him herself unsuccessfully. She reached out to a rescue who said they would help. She had been waiting to hear back from them and they never responded back.

ODAAT did an emergency transport the other day where he underwent surgery to remove all the dead tissue, clean out the wound and he has now been fully vetted. He did test positive for FIV, but that should not hinder him from living a long life. He was literally meowing, “Owww” they day we got him.”

FIV isn’t a death sentence. Joey is a sweet boy so he should do fine with other cats. Anyone out there who can help Joey, even if it’s only for a short time until a forever home can be found, is asked to fill out an application.

ODAAT is a 501c3 non-profit located in Lewistown, Pennsylvania and dedicated to legally assisting animals in need by working in tandem and cooperatively with Dog Wardens, Humane Officers, Local Police, and the State Police; building relationships and solutions with all.

Social networking plays a major role in getting cats like Joey into a forever home. Let’s not let this sweet boy down. He needs to know he’s loved.
