I have a duty to promote the anti-declawing movement of which I am a part. I have moral duty to do it because declawing is immoral. There is no two way about it. Anyone who argues otherwise is deceiving themselves.
You have probably heard that New York State is arguing about banning declawing. It is a political battle which I have stated will fizzle out in favour of retaining the status quo (i.e. there will be no change) because of pressure by veterinarians to retain declawing for commercial reasons and because some politicians just don’t get it. They don’t see declawing as particularly bad. They are ignorant I am afraid.
Prove me wrong. The Paw Project are urging people to telephone New York State’s law makers to encourage them vote in the Bill and make it law. Here is what The Paw Project are saying on Facebook:
