Ten of the best snow leopard photos that you will see

Here are some great camera trap photographs of the snow leopard. This is God’s country, in the high plains and mountains of Mongolia, Pakistan and China where this magnificent wild cat lives silently, unassumingly and beautifully in harmony with this cold, forbidding landscape.

You get a real sense of what it is like up there. So lonely for the human but not for the snow leopard. This wild cat has the largest territory of all the wild cats. They can roam over hundreds of square kilometers – one female’s home range was 1,590 square kilometers minimum. They have been seen as high as 5,792 meters by climbers. I wonder why the distinctive black line behind it’s mouth that looks like it’s mouth developed. I think it accentuates and makes it look more like it’s smiling. Adorable, especially when they’re young.
