Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners Found Kristen Lindsey in Violation

Today, the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners (TBVME – “the Board”) found Kristen Lindsey in violation of the Texas Veterinary Licensing Act and/or Rules of Professional Conduct. The finding was made at the conference today when the complaints about Kristen Lindsey’s behaviour in killing the domestic cat, Tiger, with a bow and arrow were discussed.

Justice for Tiger

Her infamy has been well discussed on the Internet because she posted a photograph of herself on Facebook and Twitter holding up Tiger with an arrow through his head.

The information that she has been found to be in violation comes from the staff attorney of Alley Cat Allies, Rebekah DeHaven, who attended the conference on behalf of Alley Cat Allies as they had made a complaint to TBVME.

The Board made the finding after deliberating in the usual way. The “punishment” to be handed down to Kristen Lindsey is yet to be known. Details of the violation and the penalty for it are expected to be released by the Board in October.

For so many of us, perhaps millions of cat lovers throughout the USA and in the world generally, this is really good news because we want justice for Tiger as Tiger represents all domestic, stray and feral cats who are abused or killed daily.

However, we now want to see a real sanction applied, not a slap on the wrist. The TBVME imposes sanctions against the vet’s license to practice. The penalties range from a reprimand to revocation of the vet’s license.

Please comment on Facebook as well as it helps spread the word – thanks.

  1. Huh. That went better than I thought it would. Is it sad that I’m shocked that justice for Tiger might finally happen? Now I wonder, will this violation be symbolic, a slap on the wrist? Lindsey needs to lose her license.

    • Yes, same for me. It has pleased me no end. The slap on the wrist possibility lurks in the distance. We wait with baited breath.
