The data is presented by an independent website. It is not affiliated to the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. However, the records are comprehensive and they list disciplinary matters. All the Texas vets who have been disciplined in various ways including revocation of their license are listed.

Are they useful? I reckon they could be. If a vet is not listed that must be reassuring and if he/she is listed the nature of the ‘offence’ would be of interest to a client.
I can’t vouch for the authenticity of the information. It is up to each individual to decide. The information looks sound.
Here in Maryland, we were able to see the vet’s response, and when I found out people in TX were not able to I was really angry for them. Seeing the vet’s response in my case against Marc Katz, DVM of Kindness Animal Hospital in Wheaton, MD was key in me seeing HOW MUCH LYING HE WAS DOING and what a weasely snake he was. (Apologies to snakes). It allowed me to focus point by point on his response because in MD, if you want to, you can respond to the vet’s response. For whatever reason, they let him respond YET AGAIN to my response to his response, and then I got to respond to that too. By the time I’d sent in the original complaint and two responses I’d hired a handwriting analyst to help support my allegation that the records he claimed were made by his technicians were in his OWN handwriting (forged) and that he’d known all along his son had OD’d my cat based on handwritten note he left at the hospital where he dropped off my cat, saying he’d ahve someone pick up his dead body if he died fro teh insulin overdose they’d given him. Seeing his response was CRITICAL for us. Yet, although the vet board did SOMETHING, they only fined him $250 and let him off the hook for the majority of the violations he committed. So even when they do something, its never much. Still, I’ve got his responses, which contradicted each other left and right, IMHO showing what a total liar he is.
Stephani, you story is both very sad and interesting. I like the way you got some justice and forced a cover up out into the open. That’s hard. Well done. It is very hard to prove medical professionals are negligent.
Thank you, Michael. Btw, I forgot to apologize to weasels. Apologies, weasels, for the odious association via expression.
No not at all. I am extremely happy that the site is getting visibility. I can even help validate its authenticity. My case involved two doctors and one just had their reprimand added to the list and is visible to the public. Sutton, Tom DVM.
The creator of this website was also responsible for changing Texas law so that the pet owner is able see and respond to the veterinarian’s response to the complaint. Before, the vet could say whatever they wanted with no input from the pet owner. I was extremely fortunate when I reach out to him and he offered his guidance when I filed my complaint with the Texas Board
Wow….I thought you were going to say something critical because I found the site unusual and interesting but I was a little unsure about it. Thanks for adding your thoughts.
