Thanks to a microchip, a Michigan cat found in Tampa, Florida will be reunited with his family.
Daisy Duck Bandit went missing before Halloween. His family had searched everywhere with no luck. So it came as a very welcome surprise when they were contacted after their kitty was brought to Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Tampa by a woman who believed he was a stray.
A GoFundMe webpage started to raise funds to fly Daisy Duck Bandit from Tampa to Michigan tells not just the need to have him flown home but hopefully, the family can come up with a better option than flying him ‘cargo.’
“Our cat Daisy went missing shortly before Halloween. I checked the shelters and made some local postings, but our cat, Daisy/Bandit, ended up in Tampa Florida. We don’t know if he hitched a ride in a moving van or a snowbird took him down to Florida.
According to Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners, Daisy followed a woman home in Tampa, Florida. She brought him into their office. Since our cat has a microchip they identified him and called us.
Over the last three weeks we tried to find friends and relatives who may have been in that area and able to bring Daisy home. We were unsuccessful. Our only option is to have him flown home in cargo.
In addition to the plane ticket and special crate, we will get Bamboo Pet Sitting of Tampa, Florida to pick him up and deliver him to the airport.”
“He’s in great shape, doesn’t have medical issues. Obviously, he was well cared for at home and he’s being well cared for here and we’re looking forward to a safe return.”
Please feel free to donate (and just as important) if you know of another solution in getting Daisy home, contact the family on the GoFundMe page.
