This is the story of a rat, a cat and a dog who left for their forever home on April 7 after being surrendered by their owner to a Wisconsin animal shelter in March.
Meet Jack (the visually impaired cat), Sasha the dog and Tweaks the rat. When their owner could no longer care for them, the trio was dropped off at the Oshkosh Area Humane Society, where it was made known they were “bonded.”
Jack can’t see very well and depends on Sasha to help guide him. He gets very upset if his dog is out of sight for long. In fact, Jack refused a physical exam by the veterinarian on staff until Sasha was by his side.
Tweaks is a senior rat who doesn’t realize he’s a senior. He’s playful, affectionate and loves his two best friends.
Facebook: Oshkosh Area Humane Society made the announcement back on April 7
“The Rat Pack has left the building! Sasha, Jack and Tweaks got in their car just a few minutes ago to go to their new home. We’re very grateful to their new family for adopting them so they can start a new chapter in their lives – TOGETHER! Congratulations to this special trio and their family!”
Congratulations to your new family! And thank you, Oshkosh Area Humane Society, for recognizing the need to keep this sweet family together. More photos of the trio can be found on their Facebook page.
