The Russian couple who ate human meat, cat meat, dog meat, and beef

It is alleged, and the evidence is strong, that this Russian couple killed and ate their human victims and they also ate cat and dog meat; including beef by the way. They liked a variety of meats and made little distinction between human, companion animal or livestock!

I have just written about Piper Rockelle, a charming young girl of nine years of age making a success on the Internet. This story is at the other end of the spectrum. It is about as dark and devilish as you can imagine a cat story to be. Although it is mainly about people and their death because it is alleged that this Russian couple killed 30 people and ate them as well as cats and dogs.

They are described as serial cannibals and they kept the remains of cats and dogs in their fridge together with the remains of people and beef. They appear to be unable to distinguish between any of these forms of meat. Their names are Dimitry Baksheev (‘Devil’) and his wife Natalia Baksheeva.

The various forms of meat were kept in plastic bags in a freezer. Apparently the dissected remains of the last person that they killed were in the fridge. Her name was Elena. Some of her was pickled and in glass jars.

In a remarkable twist to the story, Natalia was said by neighbours to have cooked meat pies for air force cadets at the military academy where they lived. She filled the pies with whatever was around at the time and you can guess what that means!

They’re both being held in jail on remand before their trial. The husband is being kept in solitary confinement in case he is beaten up by other detainees while his wife is being intimidated by fellow inmates who taunt her with remarks such as: “did you eat enough human meat?”.

The pair come from southern Russia and they confessed to murdering Elena who was a waitress. She was killed in a fit of jealousy after Natalia accused her of seeking to seduce her husband.

I think we’ll leave it there. It is, however, another example of how vulnerable unwanted and unowned cats and dogs are in certain parts of the world where they are viewed as an opportunity for a meal rather than a companion.
