I suppose Trump is scary. This cat has good sense 😉 So what is it about Trump that scared this cute cat? We have no idea but it is possible that the cat had been scared by a person with a similar appearance or who sounded like Trump and he has learned to avoid these sorts of individuals. I suspect it is the sound he is making (Trump’s voice) more than his image which disturbed the cat.

Some domestic cats are interested in watching television. We are not sure if they know they are watching a moving image that is not live and ‘real’. There is no doubt that some cats see a television image as real events meaning not relayed images on a device’s screen. But my cat totally ignores the television image. It is as if it is not there. I don’t have a clear pattern of behavior regarding cats watching television.

Although, I have seen a cat copy what two men where doing on television which happens to have been boxing! Domestic cats are good learners by observation and good copiers. This is not surprising since they learn by copying their mother in the wild.

On a slightly different subject, domestic cats also don’t understand that their owner is working on a computer when they lie across the keyboard while the person is working on it. They have no idea about computers and human ‘work’. They lie across laptops because, for example, they are already on the person’s lap and the computer is warm and smooth.

  2. It appears that it’s when Trump looks in her direction she backs up and high tails it out of there. Actually I think high tailing refers to horses. She ran from him. Animals can sense what 33% of America’s population can’t. Not surprised that he’s the first president without a pet. Good kitty; sorry you had to see that.

  3. He does, indeed. Thank you, Dee. From Shrimptaro. It’s astounding how many of our populace say everyday, “very, very much.” I get so tired so tired, even sick, of hearing it.
