Two changes to the US constitution are needed as set out in the below infographic BUT the changes will never happen. Well, the first suggestion might and should happen as America can do better than have a president who is a convicted felon of the type that severely questions his honesty and integrity (falsifying business records ahead of the 2016 presidential election).
The President must have the highest levels of integrity in the interests of world peace and order. And in my case in the interests of animal welfare.
“Donald Trump’s felony conviction now means he’s banned from a host of countries including Canada and UK”
– news media today 2nd June 2024
Americans stuck on the right to bear arms will tell me to F off is they read this article – unlikely – because I am not an America and I should mind my own business. The American Constitution is my business and the business of all peoples as it affects all peoples.
The next American president, probably Donald Trump, has been convicted of 34 felonies that go to his honesty and integrity. De Niro, the actor, calls him a monster. And he is. He can continue to campaign to be elected president and he can be the president despite the convictions because under the present constitution you just have to be over 35 and be a natural born American who has lived in the US for 14 years.
Warren Buffett, the world’s smartest investor and one of the world’s richest individuals, is a firm believer in hiring the right people. He famously stated, “Somebody once said that in looking for people to hire, you look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence, and energy. And if you don’t have the first, the other two will kill you. You think about it, it’s true.”
Trump has energy and arguably intelligence. He positively does not possess integrity. He should be barred from being elected president. But he is free to continue his march to the White House.
America can do better than have a convicted felon of the kind that questions honesty as a sitting president. Surely? This is mad. And he has more trials to come. He could be a multiple felon. And he will still be able to become president.
Leaving the court, the former president called the trial ‘rigged’ and ‘disgraceful’. ‘We didn’t do anything wrong, I’m a very innocent man, and it’s okay. I’m fighting for our country.’

Reading the above quote, Trump, sounds like a delusional fool. The guy is delusional. Another reason why he cannot be president. And he is disdainful of the American justice system. He disrespects American justice. How can this man be president? 😢🤔 In constantly slandering the judge at his trial he is arguably in contempt of court and stressing the bedrock of American society: the judicial system. He is undermining it. This is unbecoming conduct for a former American president. He is behaving like a hooligan.
The underlying problem here is that in the US Attorney Generals are appointed politically and judges too as I recall. This provides Trump with ammunition. The judiciary should be completely distanced from all forms of politics.

Animal welfare
Trump’s kids like to sport hunt. He supports their activities. As far as I am concerned, he is anti-animal welfare. He is a danger to animals. He has two objectives: personal self-aggrandizement and power and to make money for himself and as president to make people wealthier. Commerce does not support animal welfare. Often is works against it. Commercial activities across the globe are destroying wildlife habitat over vast areas and has been for decades.
We need commerce to improve our lives but it must be tempered with wildlife conservation and the protection of the planet. It is not currently.
Trump is a philistine when it comes to animal welfare. Only James K. Polk, Andrew Johnson, and Donald Trump did not have any presidential pets while in office. All the signs are that he does not like animals or care for their welfare.
The world desperately needs leaders who are concerned with animal welfare. Look at Putin. He professes to be a conservationist but his invasion of Ukraine has killed hndreds of thousands of animals both pets and wildlife.

Procedure on changing the US Constitution
The process for amending the United States Constitution is outlined in Article V of the Constitution itself. There are two methods by which amendments can be proposed and ratified:
- Congressional Proposal: Two-thirds of both the Senate and the House of Representatives must vote to propose an amendment.
- State-Led Convention Proposal: If two-thirds of the states request it, a convention can be called specifically for the purpose of proposing amendments.
- This method is the most common way amendments have been proposed historically. Although this method has never been used, it is an alternative pathway.
After an amendment is proposed, it must be ratified by either of the following methods:
- State Legislatures Ratification: Three-fourths of the state legislatures must approve the amendment.
- State Conventions Ratification: Three-fourths of conventions called in each state must ratify the amendment.
In summary, the process involves a combination of congressional action and state involvement to ensure that any changes to the Constitution are deliberate and well-considered.
