The issue of one cutlure criticising another is fraught with difficulties but sometimes it is justified when gross animal cruelty is perpetrated. This sort of animal cruelty resonates throughout the planet. We can’t be silent otherwise we accept it.
Citizens of one country should be open to criticism if it is justified. There is another aspect to cat and dog meat. The Covid-19 pandemic has shone a light on the dangers of unregulated slaughter of animals in open markets as happens in this trade. They are places where zoonotic diseases can be transmitted to humans. It must be stopped and to hell with sensitivities.
