Update on Mollie’s X-rays For Bone Fragments in Paws

Dr. Doub has checked Mollie’s x-rays and confirmed that Mollie has no bone fragments in her paws. Great news. But the evaluation is not yet complete.

This is what Carla Krebs of Paws Needs Claws says to Tina:

Dr. Doub has received the xray image of Mollie’s xrayed paws and from what she can see, there aren’t any bone fragments, not even any little ones. Yay, Mollie!

The xray is one component of the evaluation. Some additional parts include office notes, pictures of the paw pads, inspection of the paw pads, and description of sensitivity to touch…

Carla asks Tina to take photos of her paw pads to check for callouses and to “inspect for any odd looking skin on the pads” and sensitivity to touch. Dr Doub will then check out the photos and make an assessment.

To summarise the story: Tina, is Mollie’s caretaker and she thought that her cat, Mollie, might be suffering from paw pain due to declawing but could not afford the x-rays so that Dr Doub (a specialist in assessing declaw complications) could check. PoC stepped in and funded the x-rays.

***I’d like to thank the great team of people who have made this enterprise work. Fantastic effort. I would particularly like to thank Dr. Doub who is such an impressive America veterinarian.***
