What does it mean when a cat sniffs your face? — 4 Comments

  1. My cats sniff everything and all. No orifice in my body hasn’t been sniffed time and time again. I must be approved, because they still want me.

  2. My kits greet the adult cats in this fashion as soon as they are uncaged in the morning. They then seek us out often soliciting being picked up for the touch and then wanting right back down. Much like the slow blink I get from mine whenever our eyes touch.

  3. I think you are correct, Michael. It is like cats sniff our faces for validation. “Hi, I’m here. I care about you.” 🙂 Happy Christmas to you too. Thank you for your interesting articles and information every day.
