Although this is slightly extreme, this is not untypical of domestic cats who like to sleep near or on a radiator. There are many photographs like this on the Internet. The ambient room temperature is not warm enough it would seem. Humans like an ambient room temperature which is lower than the preferred ambient room temperature of the domestic cat. Scientifically it is referred to as the “thermoneutral zone”.
