Who’s that looking out the window?

Loner down the drive way

We get many feral and stray cats where I live, we live by forestry. One day there was a lean tall and narrow faced grey tabby Cat eating out of the outdoor dog`s food bowl.

The cat had large dark eyes. Lots of them are tabbies, but we do get some black and white ones and ginger ones.

I was able to befriend two of them that I named Rogue and Loner, they`re gone now, Rogue died and Loner disappeared. We go to the Air Park with our two Pomeranians and my mom and I will see a couple of feral cats there too because there are feral colonies that live there because of the food and water supply provided for them.

Nov 14, 2011 Feral cat populations
by: Michael

Hi Amanda, thanks for the little insight into the situation regarding feral cats in Canada.

It interests me why there appears to be more feral cats in North America than in Europe. I wonder if this is true though.

I judge it to be true because of the consistent number of sightings of feral cats and the stories about feral cats on this website from people living in the USA (mainly) and sometimes Canada.

In the UK we don't see feral cats that much and we let our cats out much more. Whereas in the USA people keep their cats in much more but there more feral cats. Are the two connected?

Hi, I am 70-years-of-age at 2019. For 14 years before I retired at 57, I worked as a solicitor in general law specialising in family law. Before that I worked in a number of different jobs including professional photography. I have a longstanding girlfriend, Michelle. We like to walk in Richmond Park which is near my home because I love nature and the landscape (as well as cats and all animals).
