The annotated photograph explains why the cat in the photograph is a tabby domestic cat wandering around at 4 am in the night on a hunting expedition which is so typical of British cats in the UK. It cannot be a mountain lion preying on deer in the British countryside. In addition there are numerous appearance differences between this and a mountain lion. The mountain lion is far more muscular. It is more slender. Its legs are longer in relation to its body. Its head is smaller in relation to his body. Its tail is much longer. There are no markings on the mountain lion’s tail. I could go on in fact but I think I have made the point that this is not a mysterious big cat roaming the countryside in good old England terrorising people and feeding on deer.
