You’ll never buy a commercial cat toy after you see this video

Don’t waste your money on commercially manufactured cat toys even if they make nice looking Christmas presents. Take something like a cardboard box that was packaging for your new 42 inch flat-screen television, which would normally be recycled, cut some circular holes in it and hours of pleasure await the little fella. We all know about cardboard boxes and cats. Maru, the obsessed one, virally publicised the domestic cat’s love of cardboard boxes and all tight spaces such as glass containers, plant pots and statues with folded arms. If the box is big enough they love the exploration, a release for their inquisitiveness, and if the box is small they love feeling of security as the sides press against their body. And if they are fearful they can hide in it. The box is a good all-rounder.

Note: videos on this site are often made by third parties and held on YouTube servers or the servers of other businesses. Sometimes the videos are deleted at source which stops them working on this site. It that has happened I apologise but I have no control over it.

Hi, I am 70-years-of-age at 2019. For 14 years before I retired at 57, I worked as a solicitor in general law specialising in family law. Before that I worked in a number of different jobs including professional photography. I have a longstanding girlfriend, Michelle. We like to walk in Richmond Park which is near my home because I love nature and the landscape (as well as cats and all animals).
