My Fold’s Name is May

We rescued May from the RSPCA where nobody wanted her because they thought she had cancer because of her ears. She turned out to be a loving cat and we have had her for 10 years. About three years ago she was diagnosed with hyperthhroid and heart problems.

A couple of weeks ago she had a mass removed from her bladder and we were consequently told that she had kidney damage.

She survived the operation but relapsed a week later but luckily we still have her with us and she is monitored closely all day and all the family saying prayers.

I don’t want to upset anyone with this, but I just feel that once you have lived with a ‘Fold’ they are always in your heart.

They are such characters and they make great companions.

Sadly May gave up her fight for life on 10th February 2011 – she will be sadly missed by all the family and those whose hearts she touched.

She was a very special ‘little’ cat and everyone who knew May loved her.

Anybody who has a Scottish Fold knows that the love you give them, they give back to you 10-fold.

I would like to thank you all for your kind words and wishes. Thought I would give you a quick update about May. She isn’t out of the woods yet but before the operation she weighed 2kg and has since put on a bit of weight and now weighs 2.3kg so she is moving in the right direction.
