Cats share food bowl in acts of altruism

It is known that female cats engage in reciprocal altruism when they help raise each other’s offspring when living in a colony. You see this in feral cats. In doing this they both benefit themselves as it helps the survival of those in the colony.

Along those lines, we see videos on the Internet of cats sharing their food by pushing the food bowl towards each other after they have taken some. They share one bowl.

This appears to be another act of reciprocal altruism. It is hard to see it any other way.
