The sand cat is the only true desert living cat.You can see in the picture that it lives in burrows and sometimes occupies the burrows of other animals. This kitten has enormous ears compared to head size. Sound location of prey is obviously important for this domestic sized wild cat. But this cat can be quite fierce and makes a hiss then spitting sound that is very particular.
