These are not your typical criminals. There are not cat hoarders. They are simply people trying to do good in saving the lives and improving the lives of unwanted cats. But they screwed up. They probably took in too many cats and were unable to cope. And they were blind to their failings. Perhaps because of pride. They were not cat hoarders, far from it. It went wrong and it is very sad because they appear to be good people trying to do good things but now they have a criminal record.
