In Bangladesh, during the festival at the end of Ramadan called EID the streets ran red with blood when it rained in 2016 because of the mass slaughter of animals in that country which is part of the holiday! I believe they kill with a knife to the neck which lets them bleed to death. Charming.
In America somebody has said that if Muslims can’t get their hands on livestock they may pick up your cat if he is an outside cat and use him instead. If you live near a devout Muslim in America you might bear this in mind if your cat is an outdoor cat.
