Judy Gallagher the photographer of this photograph of two tabby feral cat says that her husband feeds feral cats. It’s a nice photograph. The two cats look content and I have to say well fed. In both instances their left ear has been tipped so that we know they have either been spayed or neutered under a TNR program. They are blotched tabby feral cats. They are probably related. Well done to the husband for feeding them.
You know some people don’t think feral cats should be fed. They say that it attracts unwanted wildlife. This is in the US where there is lots more wildlife compared to the UK. There have been cases where consideration has been given to criminalizing the feeding of feral cats. It happened in Augusta, Kansas. Some TNR volunteers feed their feral cats for a limited time each day to avoid the food being available all the time. This helps prevent wildlife being attracted to the food which appeases residents.
