The person you see in the photograph claimed that his three cats had been killed in a house fire and the person he told it to was part of Facebook cat loving group. This prompted the group to set up a crowdfunding page online which resulted in donations of £2500 pounds which was passed on to this person less the website’s fees.
The cats were not killed in a house fire. They were with his girlfriend at the time. The cats were healthy and safe. He perpetrated a fraud against cat lovers and nice people. He was charged, prosecuted and convicted of fraud and punished accordingly. He has a previous conviction for dishonesty. His name is Pattison and he lives in the UK.
