As stated above, the effectiveness of microchips is seriously undermined by inaccurate data contained on the microchip. When you add that factor to the unenviable factor that a very low percentage of cats and dogs are microchipped in America, one has to come to the conclusion that micro-chipping is somewhat of a failure at present.
